This policy applies to all employees, instructors, and trainees of Far East Maritime Foundation Inc. as well as any other stakeholders involved in the operations of our training institution, whether on-site or online.
On-Site Emergency
Emergency Kits

Emergency kits are available and accessible at Far East Maritime foundation Inc.'s physical premises and are maintained by our Safety Team. Emergency Kits include first aid supplies, flashlights, batteries, emergency contact lists, and other essential items.
Fire

Alarm Activation: In case of fire, activate the nearest fire alarm located on every floor of the building.

Evacuation: Evacuate the building immediately following the designated evacuation routes. Emergency arrows are along the walls of every floor.

Assembly Point: Gather at the pre-designated assembly point and wait for further instructions. Our Safety Team and building security personnel will be in-charge of designating an assembly point.
Medical Emergency

Immediate Response: Provide first aid if trained. If not, contact our Safety Team immediately.

Incident Reporting: Report the incident to our Safety Team as soon as possible.
Natural Disasters (Earthquake, Flood)

Earthquake: Drop, cover, and hold on. Evacuate the building once the shaking stops. Emergency arrows are along the walls of every floor.

Flood: Move to higher ground if there is a risk of flooding. Follow local emergency services' instructions. Far East Maritime Foundation Inc. cooperates with the local government authorities during floods.
Emergency Response for Online Operations
Internet or Power Outage

Backup Plans: Online instructors should have a backup device and internet connection. Trainees should be informed of alternative ways to access course materials (e.g., pre-recorded sessions, materials posted in other online platforms, offline materials).

Communication: Notify trainees immediately through alternative communication channels (e.g., email, messaging apps) if an outage occurs.
Health Emergencies (Pandemic, Contagious Disease)

Online Transition: If an in-person session is affected, transition to full distance learning if possible. If not, class remedial schedules shall be announced.

Communication: Keep trainees informed about any changes to course delivery or schedules due to health emergencies.
